Become an adventurer in the world of real food...

This year’s Festival celebrates the colourful world of food. It will be at a new site on the Northmoor Trust's estate and farm in beautiful countryside.

Fronted by celebrity chefs Raymond Blanc and Sophie Grigson, the Children’s Food Festival brings alive the art of cooking. Other guests include Annabel Karmel, the best-selling author on baby and children’s food and nutrition; Teenage Chef, Sam Stern and Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall, author of the Good Granny Cookbook.

For those of you who came last year, we invite you back to enjoy popular favourites and new activities to inspire children of all ages to explore food and cook new dishes.

Highlights include: hands-on cooking - from baking bread to sushi rolling, open fire cookery, bicycle-powered smoothie-making, the observation beehive and the Smell Tent run by the Academy of Culinary Arts.

New for 2009 are the Baby and Early Years Area and The Chocolate Tent, with chocolate tastings, demos by the UK’s top chocolatiers and Willy Wonka recipe making with the Roald Dahl Museum team.

We’ll keep you posted as Festival plans progress.
